We love fostering community here at Book + Bottle and one of the best ways to do that is to host fun events where people can gather and share in their passions. Our full calendar of interesting events is below and here’s what you can expect on a regular basis:

Regularly Hosted Events
Sip + Stitch: Wednesdays 10AM - 12 PM; Have a latte or a glass of wine as you knit/crochet/embroider with likeminded textile artists of all levels; free
Writer’s Happy Hour: Tuesday 4-5PM; A combination of curated writing guidance and dedicated writing time, this is a great community to get your creativity flowing; free

B+B Sponsored Book Clubs
Fiction Book Club: Monthly on the last Thursday of the month from 6 - 7:30 (arrive early to get a seat)
Lady Leaders + Readers Book Club: Monthly on the last Sunday from 10AM - 12PM (outside of regular business open hours)
Genre Book Club: Alternating with New + Noteworthy, every other month on the last Wednesday from 6 - 7:30 (arrive early to get a seat)
New + Noteworthy Book Club: Alternating with our genre book club, every other month on the last Wednesday from 6 - 7:30 (arrive early to get a seat)

Wine Events
Weekly Happy Hour: Tuesday through Friday from 4 - 6PM, get $1 off any alcoholic drink on our menu and free popcorn while you drink

Wine Education Happy Hour: The ABCs (Anything but Chardonnay)

Come enjoy a safe, socially-distanced, and guided wine tasting where we'll try three delicious wines that are anything but chardonnay!

About this Event

Join us for our first ever wine education program at Book + Bottle. We'll be exploring white wines that are anything but chardonnay to help you expand your palate into exciting new territories. Tickets $30 each and quantity very limited.

What you can expect:

  • Six feet of space between you and our other guests. Each person/ couple will have their own table. We're keeping tickets to a minimum to promote safety, health, and optimal conversation.

  • Three lovely, curated wines to try. This class they'll all be crisp white wines that are not chardonnays.

  • A handout with information on each wine with room for you to take notes

  • Palate cleanser snacks of handmade breadsticks and olives

  • A guided tasting by Book + Bottle's wine experts

  • You can add on a gorgeous charcuterie box from Gather Round and Graze for an additional $15

Our Educators

Susan Hall has worked in the wine industry from every angle - retail, service, distribution, supplier, and more. She owned and ran The Vault, an award-winning wine store in Maine before joining the Book + Bottle team. Susan loves cooking and pairing wines with food.

Sharon Mahoney is a Certified Sommelier and WSET Diploma Candidate. She also holds CSW, FWS, and CSWS certifications. Sharon is the owner of Events By The Glass and loves educating people on wine.
